SWPA States

Convention Registration / Check-in: All persons who are pre-registered (i.e. dues-and-registration-paid SWPA members or non-members who have paid for registration ahead of time) will have a badge and packet ready for them at the onsite convention registration desk.  Those not pre-registered may register onsite in the same location.

SWPA will issue gratis name badges to nonmember significant others and dependents upon request so that those persons may attend the paid registrant's presentation or other social events which are open to member guests.

Convention Registration Desk Hours:  Wednesday, April 1 (6:00 - 8:30 pm); Thursday, April 2 (7:00 am - 5:00 pm); Friday, April 3 (7:30 am - 4:30 pm), Saturday, April 4 (7:30 am - 12:00 pm).

SWPA members:

Convention registration is $20 for all dues-current SWPA membership categories (regular member, student member, associate member). Dues are as follows: Regular Member ($55), Student Member ($20), Associate Member ($30).  See the membership categories guidelines.

A bundle of dues plus registration is available for all members who register prior to the cut-off for receiving abstracts. The bundle provides a $5.00 discount from member dues.

A $15 late fee will be added to all convention registrations paid fewer than three weeks from the dates of the conference.

Dues may be paid online prior to the convention or onsite at the convention.  New members must create a member profile and login prior to paying dues  and registration.

Non-members:

Persons who wish to attend convention sessions but not join SWPA may pay non-member registration either online or onsite at the convention. If paying online, new non-members must create a non-member profile (to allow badge creation) and login prior to making their payment. The non-member database is purged after the convention each year, so non-members should create a new profile each year.

  • Single-day non-member registration (Thursday, Friday or Saturday): $50
  • Three-day non-member registration: $90

A $15 late fee will be added to all convention registrations paid fewer than three weeks from the dates of the conference.

Continuing Education Session Registration:

Several APA-approved CE sessions will be offered at SWPA 2010.  A list of specific workshops along with brief descriptions will be posted no later than mid-February.

Persons attending the CE sessions will receive certificates to document participation.

In addition to general convention registration, persons wishing to receive credit for CE sessions must also register for the CE certification.  CE registration will be both online and onsite at the convention.

  • CE certification registration fee:  $140 (in addition to convention registration; note that convention registration has a $15 late fee added if paid fewer than 3 weeks prior to the convention)
