SWPA States

SWPA has three membership categories and a non-member option. Persons in all three of the member categories of the Southwestern Psychological Association may submit abstracts for SWPA presentations at the upcoming convention or submit abstracts to our affiliate organizations (Psi Chi, SAMR, SWToP, SCPA, TPA).  In some cases, non-members may submit abstracts to affiliate oragnizations (see affiliate guidelines).

All persons who wish to submit to (or be a co-author on) any part of the convention program must have an up-to-date profile (member or non-member as appropriate).

After determining the appropriate member or non-member category (see member descriptions below):

Applicants for SWPA Member Status: Create a Profile and Pay Dues:

  1. Create a login / password and complete the online membership profile

  2. Submit your dues payment. After you login, you can pay your dues online using a credit card (preferred method) or you can mail a check to our Secretary-Treasurer. If you wish to pay both membership dues and convention registration at one time (prior to the abstract deadline), then you can receive a "bundle" discount and save $5 on your dues. Alternatively, you can pay dues prior to abstract submission and pay registration later, or if you do not plan to attend the convention, you only pay dues and do not need to pay registration at all.

Note: Any registration paid less than 3 weeks prior to the opening of the convention will have a $15 late registration fee added.
